About Us

Originally a Longhorn cattle brand, the Rockin’ A B eventually evolved into the company - Rockin’ A B Designs -in 1999.  Amy and Boone have been the proud owners/operators since its inception.

We specialize in high quality, vintage inspired apparel and accessories for infants to adults. Based in the Dallas area, we are currently in stores and boutiques across the US.  We have been established at the Dallas World Trade Center since 2002, exclusively accessible to wholesale buyers only, with occasional appearances at select retail venues.

Rockin’ A B is our retail store.  It's a children's emporium with gifts for the family located in historic downtown McKinney, Texas.  We are excited to finally be able to offer our products directly to the public via our retail store and our website.  In addition to our own brand of items, we offer a wide variety of toys, clothes, baby gadgets and gifts.

Our Team

Rockin’ A B is a company comprised of a team of hard working and mildly insane whack jobs.

Amy Pyeatt is the lead designer, major whip cracker, head honcho, and driving force behind Rockin’ A B Designs.

She was raised in Katy, TX.  Amy grew up in retail, working with her parents at ABC Country Store, their general store/feed store, giving her a realistic understanding of both retail and wholesale. Even before graduating from high school and through her college years, Amy was a buyer at Dallas Market Center.

After marrying and moving to Dallas, Amy worked for a major clothing manufacturer with five lines in house consisting of both men’s and women’s apparel.  She was not only the Customer Service Rep for the Canadian and overseas accounts, but was the assistant to the lead designer of a major men’s line as well.

At the dissolution of the company, Amy found herself looking for a new career. Deciding to make lemonade out of the lemons she was handed, she took her knowledge and went in a similar, yet different direction - the children’s market. Rockin’ A B Designs has been her focus since then.

For fun she hangs out with Boone, having an occasional cocktail, and on a rare night off goes out on the town to enjoy live Texas music. When she can get away, she loves going home to Katy for family time and to see friends.  She also enjoys spending time on her family’s ranch in South Texas. She’s an avid hunter…so don’t make her angry.

Boone is the muscle, glamour, production guru, cutter and chief builder for Rockin’ A B. He’s been known to do anything else that needs doing without much complaining, too. He does all this along with his full time/not as much fun day job. Boone is also the host for Texas Friday Nights on KHYI 95.3, The Range.  His radio show promotes the best in Texas and Americana music, and has done so for the better part of 20 years.

The Ziebell sales team is made up of Frank and Edie Ziebell.  Frank and Edie took on the line in 2005 and it’s been a match made in heaven. If you get the chance to visit the Dallas World Trade Center during Apparel markets, be sure to stop by and see them! If you’re lucky, you might get to sample some of Frank’s specialty BBQ sauce – F&Z Great Texas Barbecue Sauce.

Ashley Prescott is the store manager for Rockin' A B in McKinney.  She's been with the company for 10 years and even managed our previous retail location in Canton.  She's the friendly face you'll be greeted by when you come in the store.  She's a wife, a mother, a fabulous cook, and one of the sweetest people you'll ever have the pleasure to meet.
